In our second installment of "Children of the Type Writer," Alyssa becomes a little upset with me because I didn't tell her about a bigger type writer, my Royal model FP desk top machine. Here she is coveting my FP and scolding me for my negligence!
Our series on Type Writer Faux Haiku will return after we get a good dose of these extremely cute children typing on type writers!!
Very nice video. She's a cutie.
ReplyDeleteHi Martin, I stumbled upon your videos on YouTube as I have an old Oliver No 9 from my (great?) grandfather. I have many questions and wondered if you might be the guy to talk to. Or, if not, perhaps you could point me in the right direction. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteP.S. My name is Erin :-)
DeleteHi Martin, trying to find an email address for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping you might help with Oliver no. 5 adjustment.
Believe I've a carriage adjustment issue--top half of letters fade into clear white page (is this called top-shading?)
treated the platen with brake fluid... softened slightly, but top-shading/top-fading still happening.
Manual does not include info on this type of type alignment adjustment.
Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
