Years ago I had AAA, and always broke down on the Pennsy turnpike. Guess what. AAA doesn't come out on the Pennsy turnpike!!! The turnpike has its own contractor for towing and repairs. Then once I was stuck in the snow near my apartment. Called AAA and they never came. After 3 breakdowns where they never or wouldn't or couldn't come, I gave up. But, yes, this past Sunday it would have helped me.
I'm so used to unreliable cars I've had AAA plus (150 mi. towing) since 1982. It would have been worth it just that one Sunday.
